We make every effort to be sustainable and implement strategies that minimize our impact on the environment. Since 2019 we are also proud to be Proudly Plastic Wise, eliminating key single-use plastic items as part of Moreland City Council’s Plastic Wise Policy.
Food Trucks
- All of the food at our events are served in plastic free packaging.
- Make sure to recycle it using the bins provided. That way we can keep it out of landfill.
Drinking Water
- Portable water stations are provided at Gilpin Park, and at BMF Pop-Up events (aside from Barkly Square).
- Please bring your own bottle and refill to stay hydrated.
Coffee, Tea or Juice
- Whatever your preferred drink, please bring a reusable cup to reduce waste.
- Don’t forget cups for your children too.
- Bring your own straw to reduce waste.
- Concerned about reusables and COVID-19? –
- Since the pandemic, many cafes have started using a ‘contactless pour’, to ensure they don’t have to touch the cup.
- The State Government has updated its COVID-19 guidance for hospitality, to assure businesses that it’s OK to accept reusable cups and containers, following COVID Safe principles.
